Water Quality Monitoring

The LLPDA partners with the Adirondack Lake Assessment Program (ALAP) to monitor our lake’s water quality three times each summer—in June, July, and August.

ALAP is a collaborative effort between the Paul Smith’s College Adirondack Watershed Institute (www.adkwatershed.org) and Protect the Adirondacks (www.protectadks.org).

ALAP has transitioned from producing annual reports to a five-year reporting cycle. In the interim years, participating lakes will receive a summary of the current year's data to keep communities informed about water quality trends.
